NEW YORK FASHION WEEK FALL 2010

3.1 Phillip Lim
Phillip Lim's collections are like the city girl's guide to being cool and chic... very simple with a hint of masculinity... the suit looks like it's been made out of liquid gold but still I see myself in it and it makes it wearable and simple.

Alexander Hercovitch

Chains, sequins, studs and turbans... To me this collection reminds me of bohemian with a military twist to it.

Arise Promise Of Africa, Fashion Collective

I was sooo happy to find out that Africans were represented in this NY Fashion Week. They did not just hold their own in one of the world's fashion capitals (in my opinion, NY isn't the Fashion capital of the world, just one of them), but they had beautiful pieces to exhibit the world. I'll do a special on it... it deserves it because it truly was amazing.

Badgley Mischka

Christian Siriano

Christian Sirirano kept it very classic and elegant, his collection actually reminded me a lot of Lanvin.

DVF

I love this DVF collection because the clothes have a certain comfort, playfulness and easiness about them. They can make any girl feel pretty. The DVF jackets are always amazing and it's not exception here... I also love the fact that 'the DVF woman' isn't a particular woman, every woman can find herself in her collection, she mixes prints and textures and for her... their are no rules when it comes to fashion.

Monique Lhuillier

The bridal designer turned pret-a-porter designer, never diappoints when it comes to her gowns. She knows the woman's body and how to accentuate a woman's curves in a gown. I also particularly fell in love with her mini dresses, always very elegant and opulent

Vera Wang

Her collection included a lot of black and sheer blouses - they're so popular at the moment, pair them with a beautiful black bra.
