MARIO TESTINO FOR V MAGAZINE

Lara Stone

Carmen Kass

Gisele Bundchen

Carmen Kass

Kate Moss

Claudia Schiffer

Natalia Vodianova

Here's another great photographer, Mario Testino, who will be shooting a couple of supermodels for the 59th issue of V Magazine which is the Swimsuit Issue. He'll be shooting Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Daria Webrowy, Claudia Schiffer, Carmen Kass and Natalia Vodianova, Lara Stone (again) all in one shoot and on a single cover. These pictures turned out great, I love the fact that the swimsuits don't all look like swimsuits at first. What a great way to start Summer (Northern Hemisphere readers)!

The Vogue May 2009 - Model Issue - will have an amazing spread photographed by Steven Meisel, an amazing photographer who have done numerous spreads for Vogue. This time, he will be photographing his many muses which include the likes of Liya Kebede, Caroline Trentini, Isabeli Fontana, Raquel Zimmerman, Jordan Dunn, Natasha Poly, Natalia Vodianova, Anna Jagodzinska and Lara Stone. Somehting tells me that this spread will be nothing short of extraordinary.

COCO BEFORE CHANEL

Hey there fashionistas of the world, I have great news. A movie about Coco Chanel's life is coming out called "Coco Before Chanel", it will be directed by Anne Fontaine and Audrey Tautou - you know that girl in Amelie Poulin - is going to star as Coco Chanel. The movie will basically illustrate Coco's humble begginings in the fashion business to her heights in the fashion world. You should check out the previews on Youtube, it really looks like it's going to be great and I don't think they could've chosen a better actress to play Coco herself.

MET COSTUME INSTITUTE GALA

Anna Wintour and Bee Shaffer

Kate Moss, Jessica Stam and Gisele Bundchen

Anne Hathaway, Mary-Kate Olsen and Liv Tyler

Kate Bosworth, Claudia Schiffer and Diane Kruger

Rihanna and Madonna

This year's MET Costume Institute Gala was based on the theme of "Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion", so it should come as no surprise that Marc Jacobs and Kate Moss were chosen as masters of the ceremony. The Red Carpet saw everything from the daring celebrities who fear nothing when it comes to fastion...huh Madonna and Rihanna. I have to give them props for their brave to attemps to pull off these outfits, but unfortunately that's all I can really give them for that. And then youaso had, the top model... huh Gisele, Kate et Jessica... who really know how to work their supermodel assests - their legs. Unfortunately, neither Anna Wintour nor her daughter - Bee Schaffer - managed to find gowns that would really flatter their figures... oh well, we're not all supermodels.

FLORAL+MINI+SKIRT= HELLO SUMMER!

Trend alert! There is no doubt about this, the floral mini skirt must be the cutest trend we've had in a long time. This skirt is worn high or low waisted , alone or with knee socks... it's just too cute. For those of you living in the Southern Hemisphere, no worries, you can still rock this trend in Winter with some hot boots and tights.

HEY JUDE...

Finally, something for the boys... I know I've made you wait boys but trust me, it was worth the wait. As my very first feature on my blog for men, I decided to focus on this prettiest of all Brit pretty boys - Jude Law. Jude Law is no strange face to fashion magazines, and while going through pages of magazines, I would often land on pictures of Jude always looking impeccable but yet effortlessly put together. For me his style is just simple, neat and he just show any man should look like whether he is walking his dog or going grocery shopping. I think he really makes skinnies and straight leg jeans look great and his love for scarves was a definite plus when choosing him as a feature:). So boys, I hope you learn something from him.

MONIQUE LHUILLIER

Amy, a friend of mine, introduced me to Monique Lhuillier, a designer who started out by making bridal wear but quickly moved to ready-to-wear. Initially intended for this feature to be about my favourite pieces out of her Fall 2009 collection, but quickly fell in love with her Pre-Fall and Spring 2009 collections. This might seem like more of a tribute than a feature but I hope you like it as much as I liked it when I feasted me eyes on her collections.

WE'RE ALL CRAZY ABOUT HERVE LEGER

And there I was thinking that the bandage would be one of those easy-easy-go trends, I was wrong. The bandage dress is just as popular in 09 (if not more) as it was in 08. This dress captures your every curve whilst making you look toned and Gisele-like. I guess it's hard for women with all little extra meat, to let of of this figured hugging number... but do you think its time they do???
