MARA HOFFMAN S/S 2010

Here's some more Summer Fashion from the Tais-toi, Habille-toi headquarters... I chose to feature Mara Hoffman simply because I loved the african and bohemian a feel of her collection. The prints and the colours are beautiful and I especially love the turban... I makes me feel like I can wear one whenever... Hope you like it too

Agua de Coco S/S 2010

Today I thought I'd make my dear Southern Hemisphere readers happy and post a series of shows from Rio and Sao Paulo Fashion Week. Since we are rapidly approach the scorching summer days, I just wanted to give you a small preview of what I hope I'll be getting into during the long days and short nights of summer. While watching a series of shows for Spring/Summer2010, my favourite always end up being the Brazilian shows, there's just something about them that makes you want to be only holiday right away and spend endless days on the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana sipping on a caipirinha.... sigh... Summer is just around the corner, have a little patience... In the meantime, you can feast your eyes on these beautiful collections

IN LILY'S COCOON

When I heard about the Lily Allen and Chanel collaboration for the new Chanel Coco Cocoon handbag, I thought to myself: what an unlikely pair. As cute as Lily Allen might be, she's far from being the typical waif Chanel 'egerie', ie Kate Moss or Keira Knightley. But when you look at the final results of the shoot, you realize that the two make an amazing pair and you forget all you read in the tabloids about her. All you see is a chic Chanel lady...

AMBER ROSE... DO OR DON'T?

Love this dress!

Pictures Courtesy of The Makings of Mylah, Buzznet.com, Dr. Jays.com Live

Amber Rose is one of those celebrities that looks like she came straight out of the eighties. Any trend that worked in the eighties, i.e flashy colours, leggings of different patterns with white sneakers, she will bring it back in 2009.... I love that she does that, it's great but the only worry in that is that these trends have been revived for some time now and the fashion industry is now officially 'eightied out'... I predict that the last 80's trend that was revived by Balmain was the trophy jacket with exaggerated shoulder pads, that Michael wore often. So on that note, although I love her style, I really wonder if it will last...
